Fishing data obtained from Victorian Fishing Authority
The mixed bag charter is a great way to ensure a good catch. As a Charter Boat Operator, we can target the fish that we know are biting and make sure you go home with something in the bag. The Snapper Whiting Squid Fishing Charter Book Boat 6 Hour Charter is fun as you change between species, choose your favourite tasting fish and catch a good bag of them. In my opinion. Whiting is one of the best eating fish we have, bar flathead of course.
You will find them on the sand patches where there is some weed or reef to hide in and around the edges of banks. They feed on top of mudflats with the right tides or in darkness and in the deep channels.
Fishing Licence
A Recreational Fishing Licence (RFL) covers all forms of recreational fishing in all of Victoria's marine, estuarine and inland waters.
Unless you are exempt, an RFL is required when;
- Taking, or attempting to take from public waters, any species of fish by any method, including line fishing, bait or shellfish collection, yabby fishing, prawning and spearfishing and/or
- Using or possessing recreational fishing equipment in, on or next to Victorian waters.
Unless you are exempt, it is your responsibility to hold a current RFL when fishing in Victoria - penalties apply for fishing without a licence. Your RFL may not be loaned or transferred to another person.
